Cadillac has announced Canadian pricing for its newest electric SUV, the 2025 OPTIQ, starting at $59,999. This competitive price point establishes the OPTIQ as Cadillac's most affordable electric vehicle, potentially attracting a new generation of luxury EV buyers.
The OPTIQ will be available in four trim levels: Luxury 1 AWD and Sport 1 AWD, both priced at $59,999, while the Luxury 2 AWD and Sport 2 AWD models are set at $63,999. All versions come standard with dual-motor all-wheel drive, offering a blend of performance and all-weather capability.
Powering the OPTIQ is an 85-kilowatt-hour battery pack, delivering an impressive Cadillac-estimated range of 482 kilometres on a full charge. The electric powertrain is expected to produce around 300 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, providing responsive acceleration for this compact luxury SUV.
Charging capabilities are equally impressive, with DC fast charging adding up to 112 kilometres of range in approximately 10 minutes when using a 150kW charger. The OPTIQ also features energy-saving technologies like Regen On Demand and One-Pedal Driving, allowing drivers to maximize efficiency.
Inside, the OPTIQ boasts a sophisticated interior with sustainable materials, including recycled fabrics and PaperWood veneer. A standout feature is the 33-inch diagonal LED display with 9k resolution, offering crisp visuals for infotainment and vehicle information.
Standard Super Cruise capability (subscription required) provides hands-free driving on compatible highways, while a suite of advanced safety features enhances driver confidence. The OPTIQ also includes Google built-in compatibility, offering seamless integration of popular apps and services.
Mike Speranzini, Managing Director of Cadillac Canada, emphasized the OPTIQ's role in the brand's electric future: "OPTIQ exemplifies Cadillac's commitment to innovation in the EV space while maintaining our luxury standards. It's an important step towards our goal of a fully electric portfolio by 2030."
Production of the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ is scheduled to begin this autumn, with the first deliveries expected by year-end. As Cadillac's entry-level luxury EV, the OPTIQ is positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for electric vehicles in the Canadian market.
