Cadillac premiered two models at Toronto Auto Show

At the Toronto Auto Show, held February 14th to 23rd, Cadillac unveiled two models that caught the eye: the CT6-V 2019 and the XT6 2020.

The 2019 Cadillac CT6-V will feature a Twin Turbo V8 engine that earns its name from the merlette, the blackbird that adorns the original Cadillac crest : Blackwing. The all-new 4.2L Twin Turbo V8 engine delivers an estimated 550 horsepower and powerful 627 lb-ft of torque. Each Blackwing Twin Turbo V8 engine is a work of art, handcrafted by a single person in Bowling Green, Kentucky. And just as an artist completes their masterpiece with a signature, each technician signs their Blackwing engine once it’s complete.

The 2019 CT6-V will also feature a 10-speed transmission that makes shifting between gears quick and precise.

Although the CT6-V is a work of art worth to be seen, it might be hard to get a hold of one : only 275 units will be produced for the US market. Canadian market might get around 25 units.

Brand-new SUV

Cadillac also premiered the 2020 XT6 at Toronto Auto Show. This spacious new model with three rows of seating fits between the XT5 and the Cadillac Iconic Escalade.

The XT6 puts safety first with a full array of available driver assistance and safety technologies that can help drivers be more aware of their environment. It features a 3.6L V6 engine that delivers an estimated 310 horsepower.

The XT6 will be available in two separate versions, Sport and Premium Luxury. The Sport version features more aggressive styling elements and carbon fiber accents inside. The Premium Luxury version focuses on elegance and cutting edge connectivity technologies.
