On May 30th, the Cadillac banner will unveil the CT4-V and CT5-V performance sedans as part of a much anticipated media event.
Recently unveiled at the New York Auto Show, the standard version of the CT5 sedan has taken over from the ATS and the CTS to compete in this segment of the industry. For its part, the standard model of the CT4 has still not been unveiled. The release at the end of the month of the performance versions of these two sedans has greatly astonished the automotive community.
For the moment, few details are available on the characteristics of the engines that will propel these two cars. However, journalists and experts speculate and let it be known that a 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8 engine could equip the CT5-V.
For its part, the CT4 will propose a smaller template; it acts as an entry-level sedan. It will compete with cars like the Acura ILX, Audi A3 and Mercedes Class A. According to experts, the CT4-V version could be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. But again, this is just speculation.
