The Cadillac CELESTIQ ventures on the road

On August 17th, the Cadillac CELESTIQ had its first test drive on the roads of GM's worldwide technical center in Warren, Michigan, where it will be produced. Note that this will be the first production vehicle to be built in this location since 1956.

During this first road test, Cadillac engineers tested aspects of the CELESTIQ's safety and functionality. Additionally, Cadillac took the opportunity to capture a few snaps that they then shared with the general public.

A striking look
In these images released by Cadillac, we can see a CELESTIQ sporting blue and white camouflage and several hundred Cadillac crests lining the body. We can see that the mirrors are more imposing compared to the concept model that was unveiled by Cadillac at the beginning of the summer. Despite its camouflage, we can recognize the distinctive and unique shape of this electric sedan, as well as its imposing size.

Performance
The CELESTIQ will be the second vehicle from the luxury brand to be powered by GM's Ultium platform and also to use the next generation of the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system. For the moment, we still have no information regarding the autonomy and the size of the battery that this electric sedan will use.

Many technologies
We know that technologies will be at the heart of the CELESTIQ starting with a 55-inch screen that will cover the full width of the dashboard which will have a separate screen for the front passenger.
In addition, the CELESTIQ will adopt a glass roof separated into four zones which can be opacified according to the wishes of the driver and his passengers. To date, no car manufacturer has achieved this feat.

Regarding its price, the manufacturer did not reveal any information on this subject. On the other hand, there is a possibility that the CELESTIQ will arrive on the market in 2024 with its model of the year 2025. To be continued.
